   When you woke up you were sitting in the corner of your dining room, your arms were bound and your mouth was covered with a cloth. You looked around and saw one of the burglars going through the china cabinet and the other one was standing next to you, he looked down and noticed you were awake, “Oh! Good you’re awake!” he kneeled down next to you and pointed the gun at your chest, “My friend is almost done going through your house, so we’ll get to have fun soon enough.” You glared at him and attempted to kick him away, but before you could he grabbed your leg and started to twist it, “That’s not very nice girly.” He twisted your leg and it became too much and you gave out a small scream in pain, “Good girl.” He stood up and watch the other fill the bag he had with more china, you sat there and silently cried, ‘I actually wish Gilbert was here to help me, or at least here so I could talk to him one more time’

    “Have you checked upstairs for any jewelry?” “No, is there even any?”  “How am I supposed to know if you haven’t looked?! Come on you idiot let’s check it out.” “What about the girl?” “You really think she’s able to get up?” they both headed upstairs. You looked over to the window in the living room and saw someone crawling into the house, ‘Really another one?’ you thought, before you really looked at the person and saw he had white hair. ‘Gilbert?!’   He looked over at you and put his finger over his mouth signaling you to be quiet and he headed upstairs. ‘What the hell is he doing?! Is he really going to try to fight both those guys?!’

      After a few moments you heard yelling and fighting and then a loud thud, you thought the worst and assumed Gilbert had lost, until you saw the two burglars sliding down the stairs unconscious. Gilbert soon came running down the stairs and towards you. He untied your arms and removed the cloth over your mouth and passionately kissed you, you quickly returned it and wrapped your arms around his neck. While you two were kissing Gilbert stood up making you as well, when he broke the kiss you noticed he had a large black eye, “Oh god Gilbert, I’m so sorry!” you started to cry into his chest, “You got hurt protecting me, I’m sorry.” He stroked your hair, “I would do anything for you [Name], and I should be apologizing. I broke our promise and lied to you about it.” “How did you know to come over here?” “Well I was driving over here to apologize to you, but then I saw your window broken and so I came in and saw you tied up in the corner so I decided then I was going to beat the living hell out of them. As I was doing so one of them hit me in the face, but I knocked out both of them.” When he finished you kissed him again more tenderly then the earlier, “Did they hurt you?” “One of them knocked me out but-““They hit you?! I’ll kill them!” He turned and almost started to walk over to their unconscious bodies, “Gilbert! I’m fine! Let’s just take care of your eye and call the cops.” He looked over at you then followed you to the kitchen.

     After you made Gilbert put a bag of ice of his eye, you called the police who soon got there. “So you,” the officer pointed at Gilbert, “knocked out both of them?” he pointed to the now conscious burglars being put into handcuffs, “Ja.” “That was very brave, but very stupid of you.”  Gilbert nodded, and then smiled at you, “We notified your parents Ms. [Last Name] and they’re on their way.” “Thank you.”

      Soon enough your parents got their and rushed towards you, “Oh [Name]! Were so sorry! We should’ve never left without!” They both crushed you in a giant bear hug, “It’s okay then all of our stuff would’ve been stolen. And I’m fine! Thanks to Gilbert.” They both let you go and looked over to Gilbert, “So you’re the young man that saved our [Name]?” “Ja, it’s nice to meet you both.” “So how do you know [Name]? Are you friends from school?” “Uh… actually-““Actually, he’s my boyfriend.” You cut him off, they all looked at you, your parents were shocked and Gilbert looked ecstatic. “Oh I almost forgot the reason I came over here for?” Gilbert ran out of the kitchen for moment while you all looked at him confused, he came back in with giant bouquet of red roses. He kneeled down in front of you with it in his hands, “[Name] will you please forgive me for lying to you?” You smiled and took the roses, “Of course!” Gilbert jumped up and kissed you on the lips, the both of you forgetting momentarily that your parents were standing right there.

*Time Skip*

    It had been about 4 years after all of that had happened to you, you had graduated high school, moved out and gone to college long enough to learn how to be a business owner and you were currently a happy owner of a bookstore. You and Gilbert were happily living together in an apartment close to your store, Gilbert had gotten a job as a mechanic, and you couldn’t be happier.

     You and Gilbert were both on a date for your 5 year anniversary, you were currently walking through a park, Gilbert had asked you to wait by a park bench while he got you a present, you told him he didn’t have to but he insisted so you sat at a bench and waited for him to return.

    Not too long after Gilbert came running up towards you, “Here I got you these.” He handed you a large bouquet of roses, “Awww, Gilbert you really didn’t have to get me anything!” “Of course I did! We’ve been dating for 5 years I had to get you something really special!” you smiled at him and kissed him on the cheek, “Well, they are beautiful. Thank you!” “Look through them I put the real present inside.” You giggled and did as he said and looked through the bouquet, not long after you found a small velvet box; you gasped and looked at Gilbert. He took the box and got on one knee, “[Name], will you make me even more of the awesomest man in the world and be my awesome wife?” You had begun to cry, you jumped on him, “Of course I will!” You kissed him all over his face, as he put the ring on your finger, when he got it on; he lovingly kissed you, “Ich liebe dich [Name].” “I love you too.”
